01.07.2022

We have had a busy week in school, a theme which continues until the end of term. Our junior children have been exceptionally busy; we’ve had visits from the Yorkshire Dales National Park, a visit to Heaves Farm and the cluster rounders tournament in which they came fourth overall. As always, photographs have been added to the school Facebook page.

Trophies – please can all trophies be returned to school ready for our end of year awards.

Badges – please can all school council badges be returned to the office by Friday 8th July.

Kwik Cricket – a team of upper juniors will be taking part in a Kwik Cricket tournament on Wednesday afternoon. A full information sheet is attached for the children taking part. Please note we will return to school at 5.30pm.

Sports Day – we are really looking forward to welcoming parents back to Sports Day on Tuesday 12th July at 1.30pm. Children should bring in a t-shirt in their house colour. If your child/ren are unsure of which house team they are in please email and we will let you know.
The PTFA will be serving refreshments – they would be very grateful for donations of scones / butter / jam / cream and biscuits / cakes.

REMINDER: Whole School Trip – Fleetwood – 13th July – we have planned for all children from Reception through to Y6 to attend a whole school trip to Fleetwood.
The KS2 children will be visiting Glazey Days, whilst the Infant children will visit Fleetwood Museum. These two visits tie in with our current curriculum topics. We will then meet together for lunch.
The PTFA have very kindly agreed to cover the cost of the coach for the trip, therefore leaving a cost to parents of £10.00 per child for the KS2 visit and £2.50 per child for the Infant visit. There will also be an optional lunch (Fish & Chips) – we are currently costing it out, but do not anticipate it to be more than £4.00 per portion.

School Council Talent Show – please find attached a letter from the school council with details about a Talent Show they are currently organising. This is a low-key event, planned by the children for the children and will take place on Thursday 14th July.

More Music Drumming Workshop – on Friday 15th July the junior children will be taking part in a drumming workshop. Parents are invited to join us in school to watch the children perform at 2.45pm.
