1st March 2019
Well what a lovely first week back we have had.
We would all like to say a huge thank you to the Thompson family for all the hard work they put in during the holidays, adding a seating area in the woods. We enjoyed using it at our forest school session on Monday.
Momo ‘Challenge’ – whether it is fake news; we are not sure, but children and parents have been talking about this recently and getting themselves quite upset. The information sheet in your bag gives top tips for parents which apply to computer and internet use in general, whether it be a fake virus or not.
Infant Class Newsletter – all infant children will find a class newsletter giving specific information on the focus of studies for this term.
After School Clubs – Fitness Fun Club – Mrs Eccleston still has availability at her Fitness Fun Club on Monday afternoons from 3.15-4.45pm. The club is open to all children; please return the reply slip at the bottom of the newsletter alongside payment of £25.00, thank you.
Gardening Club – Mrs Mather and Miss Bartle will be running a gardening club on Tuesday lunchtimes, open to all children. We will be looking at sprucing up the flowerbeds in the reflection area and making a start on the vegetable patch.
Parents Meetings – there are still some parents who need to sign up for their preferred date and time on the appointment sheet for the parents meetings next Wednesday 6th from 3.30-5.30pm & Thursday 7th March from 5.00-7.00pm. They are on display on the noticeboard in the school hall. Parents can telephone the office to book an appointment if this is more convenient.
Lent Activity Day – four of our Y3 children will be heading to Over Kellet Primary School for a day of Lent activities on Monday 4th March. Parents of those involved will find a full information sheet.

Please could all Y1 & 2 children bring a fantasy storybook and Reception children can bring any favourite storybook in to school to share with us. Thank you.
Seeking – the infants are seeking spray bottles, long tubes and shoeboxes for various projects after half term. Please bring these into school following the half term break if you have anything suitable. Thank you.
