We’ve had another very quiet week in school. We are all very much looking forward to welcoming our junior children back on Monday.
Our infant children have this week had the pleasure of welcoming Mrs Peck to our school community. Mrs Peck is our new welfare assistant, who is working Monday to Friday alongside Mrs Henderson and Mrs Park, and we are certain she will be very happy here at Leck.

Early Morning Club – due to staffing we would be extremely grateful if sessions for early morning club could be pre-booked for the next couple of weeks. Please email bursar@leck-st-peters.lancs.sch.uk with any requirements.

Infants – please can all infant children bring in a clear plastic bottle on Monday please. We will be using this is our science lesson. Thank you.

REMINDER: Parent Questionnaire – please can any outstanding parental questionnaires be returned upon children’s return to school this week. Thank you.

Welfare Assistant – we are still seeking to appoint a welfare assistant on a Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 11.45am – 1.15pm (term time only). We need someone to help serve meals and supervise the children during their midday break.  Please contact the office for more details and pass on to any family or friends who may be interested.

Christmas Celebrations – Christmas in school will be a little different this year!
We will be watching an interactive virtual pantomime, having Christmas lunch, a Christmas Party and a Christmas Activity Day. Unfortunately, due to time constraints and bubbles, we will not be doing a Nativity this year, but we are planning a performance in the summer term.
We will have a post box for children who wish to send Christmas Cards. The box will be open from 7th to 11th December for them to post their cards.  We will then empty the box just before the end of term and distribute the cards.
All children have had a Christmas Lunch ordered for Tuesday 8th December, if you DO NOT want your child/ren to have a Christmas lunch in school, please email me to OPT OUT.  Payment will be available on our SchoolMoney online platform.

Junior Swimming – following the end of the 4-week national lockdown, swimming will resume on our usual day of Thursday, please help your child/ren to remember their kit next week.

Yorkshire Dales National Park Visit – this visit will now take place on Wednesday 9th December.

PTFA News –
LAST CHANCE: Recipe Book – production of our Recipe Book is well under way. To save over-printing copies, please can you email bursar@leck-st-peters.lancs.sch.uk to request how many copies you would like.
Recipe books are £5 each and payment can be made upon collection; cheques made payable to Leck St Peter’s PTFA.
Mufti-Day – Friday 4th December – children can come to school in their own clothes, in return for any item suitable for a Christmas Hamper, which will be raffled on Friday 11th December.
Early next week children will be coming home with an envelope with five raffle tickets enclosed. Please return any sold tickets, alongside payment, by Thursday 10th December. Thank you.
