What a lovely way to end the week! Thank you so much to all the parents and carers who stayed today to help clear up around the school grounds. The junior children enjoyed getting stuck in too!
Earlier in the week, Mrs Mather and 8 children enjoyed a brisk Walk 2 School! Our next Walk 2 School will be on Tuesday 22nd October – we hope to see a few more children join us!
On Tuesday afternoon, all children in school celebrated World Space Week with an activity afternoon learning all about the planets. The infant children made a brilliant model of the solar system, whilst the junior children made some excellent posters filled with information about all the different planets.
On Thursday morning children in school all had their individual and sibling photographs taken. Proofs are coming home with children today. We are strongly encouraging any parents who wish to order to do this online by Friday 25th October.

Forest School Toddler Stay & Play Session – on Monday 21st October, we will be welcoming families with pre-school aged children to join us for a morning of Forest School fun. Please share with any families who may be interested in coming to see our wonderful school in action.
If anyone is able to display a poster or two in their town / village, please let me know.

REMINDER: Parent Meetings – our first parent meetings of the year will take place on Wednesday 23rd October. All parents will be asked to sign up to a 10-minute time slot. Sign-up sheets will be available in the infant classroom or the school hall on Monday morning. If you are unable to get into school, please phone the office to arrange your appointment.

REMINDER: Lancashire Adult Learning – the team from Lancashire Adult Learning have organised a Young Storytellers workshop to take place at school. Please see the poster below and email me to let us know if you and your children would like to join in with this session. There is a limit on the number of places, so these will be available on a first come first served basis. At the moment, we do not have enough children / adults to make this session viable so please book ASAP so we can make a decision either way. Thank you.
