We’ve had a lovely week in school! A small group of children joined Mrs Mather for a cold, but beautiful Walk 2 School on Tuesday morning. They were treated to hot, buttery toast on arrival.  On Thursday, a selected group of Upper Junior children were great ambassadors of our school as they represented Team Leck at the Cluster Netball Tournament – the children showed great sportsmanship and played brilliantly as a team. A huge thank you to all the parents who joined us in school this morning for our Parent Celebration Assembly – it was lovely to see the school hall filled with so many people wishing to share in our celebrations.

Infant Show & Tell – continues on Monday. We are looking forward to seeing what Tommy would like to bring to school to share with his friends.

Gardening Club – Mrs Mather will continue with gardening club on Monday lunchtime – if any parents/carers / grandparents / family / friends etc. would like to help please let us know.  Any children wishing to join in should bring a pair of wellies. Thank you.

Life Education – will be visiting school on Wednesday. A letter with more information has been sent separately.

Hornby Pool – Sponsored Swim – to aid their fundraising efforts any children who wish to try and raise sponsorship for their swimming lesson next week can request a sponsorship form from the office at school. More information is attached.
The money is being raised to help the pool become more sustainable in the future.

Parent Meetings – our Spring round of parent meetings will be taking place on Wednesday 26th March. Parents are encouraged to sign up on the sheets in each classroom to a time which is appropriate for them. Mrs Tidd and Mrs Jones have a list of which children they will be seeing, please ensure you sign up to the appropriate list.

Easter Activity Day – Monday 31st March – children will need to bring in a decorated egg entry if they wish. There will be prizes for infants, lower juniors and upper juniors. They will also need a hardboiled egg for pace egging in the afternoon.
As usual, there will be a range of craft activities in the morning and in the afternoon, there is the egg challenge, followed by the Easter Egg Hunt. The day ends with our pace egg competition.

Decorated Egg Competition – this year our theme is VE Day / Best of British. We can’t wait to see what ideas the children come up with 😊
