We have had another lovely week in school! On Wednesday, the Life Education team visited, Katy did various sessions with the children across the school, including “All about Me, Feelings, Decisions and Meet the Brain”.
On Thursday, all our junior children took part in a Hydration workshop – which really highlighted the fact that a number of our children still do not have a water bottle in school every day. It is vital for healthy bodies and healthy minds that children stay hydrated.
Personal Achievements – this week in assembly, Mrs Davison was pleased to celebrate:
- Harriet – dance award
- Zara – for swimming the most lengths out of all the schools’ swimming lesson sessions – a total of 42 lengths!
Well done girls.
All children are encouraged to bring any recent outside of school achievements into school.
We look forward to seeing what the children get up to and enjoy outside of school.
Infant Show & Tell – continues on Monday. We are looking forward to seeing what Will would like to bring to school to share with his friends.
Gardening Club – Mrs Mather will continue with gardening club on Monday lunchtime – if any parents/carers / grandparents / family / friends etc. would like to help please let us know. Any children wishing to join in should bring a pair of wellies. Thank you.
Parent Meetings – our Spring round of parent meetings will be taking place on Wednesday. Parents are encouraged to sign up on the sheets in each classroom to a time which is appropriate for them, thank you to those who have already done this. Mrs Tidd and Mrs Jones have a list of which children they will be seeing, please ensure you sign up to the appropriate list.
The Big Sing – Thursday 27th March – Big Sing tickets are now available from the school office. We have been able to meet everyone’s ticketing request. The ticket is in the form of the programme and can now be collected from the office at a cost of £4 – please bring correct change.
On the evening of the event please can all parents meet Mrs Jones in the lobby of The Ashton Hall at 6.30pm.
Easter Activity Day – Monday 31st March – children will need to bring in a decorated egg entry if they wish. There will be prizes for infants, lower juniors and upper juniors. They will also need a hardboiled egg for pace egging in the afternoon.
As usual, there will be a range of craft activities in the morning and in the afternoon, there is the egg challenge, followed by the Easter Egg Hunt. The day ends with our pace egg competition.
Decorated Egg Competition – this year our theme is VE Day / Best of British. We can’t wait to see what ideas the children come up with 😊
