What a lovely week we’ve had! On Monday, the infant class enjoyed a full day visit to Rigmaden Estate where they spent the morning in the woods and the afternoon in the orchard. Children collected natural items to make natural dyes for painting and did some flower printing using hammers. The children had a wonderful day, thank you Mel and Lizzie for inviting us. The juniors are very much looking forward to their visit later in the Summer term.
On Wednesday morning, a group of children from the junior class headed to the annual cluster football tournament at Arkholme. As always, the teams displayed great team spirit, supporting each other and friends from other local schools.
Earlier today, we all walked down to Fraser Hall, Cowan Bridge for the last of our community VE day activities. The children have all really enjoyed working alongside the community to bring some amazing VE day artwork and refreshments to Fraser Hall for the 80th Anniversary celebrations on Monday. Families are encouraged to go along and see what the children have been up to, details are below. We would like to say a huge thank you to the community for asking us to be involved.

Churchyard – a group of volunteers from the Church have been clearing the Churchyard and have noticed a few gaps in the stone wall between the school and the field and wondered if there were any parents with the skills to help fix these. Please email me if you can help at all. Thank you in advance.

REMINDER: PE Kit – please can all children remember to return their PE kit. As we are now in the summer months, we will be outside for our PE lessons, so please bring appropriate clothing and footwear. Thank you.

SchoolMoney – end of month reminders were sent earlier this week. There are a couple of accounts with balances dating back to January– we would be grateful if these could be cleared ASAP. If you are struggling to log in please let me know.

Brathay Residential – earlier this week an email was sent to all parents of children who will be joining us on the Brathay residential which contained a participation registration link. Please ensure this is completed ASAP.

Summer Weather – as we have seen a little glimpse of summer this week, children are encouraged to bring sun hats / caps and apply suncream when applicable.

Personal Achievements – this week in assembly, Mrs Davison was pleased to celebrate:

well done girls.
All children are encouraged to bring any recent outside of school achievements into school. We look forward to seeing what the children get up to and enjoy outside of school.
