We have had a good first week back in school! On Tuesday morning, the children were welcomed back to school with our values morning based on ‘Forgiveness’.
On Tuesday afternoon, the children enjoyed some VE day crafts as they worked with some local villagers to prepare some art displays for their celebration at Fraser Hall. We are looking forward to seeing them again on Tuesday afternoon.
On Thursday, we took a very special delivery of eels. We will be watching them grow over this half term before setting them off into the big wide world.
Infants Rigmaden Visit – further to the letter sent at the beginning of this week, please can all parents please let us know if it will be anyone different collecting their children from the visit on Monday. By way of reminder, children will need a packed lunch and drink and should be wearing long trousers (due to a risk of ticks) alongside their school t-shirt and jumper.
Eco-Club – Snack & Drink… will continue on Tuesday. This week children enjoyed ice cream and juice. Any additional children wishing to join in should bring in £4.00 in a named envelope to cover to the end May half-term.
KS2 Cluster Football – a letter was sent earlier for the children taking part in the KS2 cluster football tournament at Arkholme on Wednesday 30th April. Children should arrive at school in their kit, ready for the bus departing at 9am.
PE Kit – please can all children remember to return their PE kit. As we are now in the summer months, we will be outside for our PE lessons, so please bring appropriate clothing and footwear. Thank you.
Brathay Residential – monthly payment plans have been set up on SchoolMoney for the Y5 / 6 children who will be joining us on the Brathay residential in June. The next instalment of £24 is due by 30th April.
KS1 Homework – please could all Y1 & Y2 parents/carers check their child’s bookbag as there are new maths homework sheets. There is also an information pack for Y1 parents about the National Phonics Screening Tests taking place in June. Thank you.
REMINDER: Early Morning Club – please can all children attending Early Morning Club please enter via the school hall door. Many thanks.
