What a wonderful treat to finish the half-term. All staff and children are looking forward to a lovely day at Leighton Moss to round off our collaborative work with the Lune Rivers Trust. We would like to thank Heather, Louisa and Tim for allowing us to take care of the elvers this half-term, we have all really enjoyed finding out more about the eel species.
Earlier this week, Mrs Wilson and a team of infant children headed to Quernmore to take part in the cluster orienteering event. The teams worked well together, and ‘Star Wars’ our Y2 boys were the overall winners – well done to Henry, Tyler & Noah.
Yesterday, our fabulous Y6 children received their leavers’ hoodies. Children are welcome to wear them as their school jumper following the half-term break. As a gentle reminder, there are a few outstanding parental contributions towards these – please send in a named envelope, thank you. We would also like to thank the PTFA for the funding the remaining balance.
Parents Meeting – thank you to the parents’ who attended the meeting regarding the upcoming residential visit to Brathay. More information is coming home with children whose parents were unable to attend.
Eco-Club – Snack & Drink… will continue on a Tuesday after the half-term break. We are hoping the weather will continue to be nice enough for juice and ice cream / lollies!
Any children wishing to join in should bring in £6.00 in a named envelope which will cover them to the end of this academic year.
Personal Achievements – this week in assembly, we were pleased to celebrate:
- Ella – stage 4 swimming certificate
well done Ella, we’re so proud of you. All children are encouraged to bring any recent outside of school achievements into school. We look forward to seeing what the children get up to and enjoy outside of school.
