30.06.2023

We’ve had another fun-filled week in school! This morning, the hall was a hive of activity as the Y3/4 children were busy preparing their fruit mocktails. All children were given the opportunity to purchase one, after being wowed by their persuasive adverts and posters. Well done lower juniors!
Next week our Y6 will head to their chosen high schools for a transition visit. On Monday, all children going to QES will need to bring a packed lunch to eat once they return to school. On Wednesday, children going to Settle College will experience a full day. We look forward to hearing all about their experiences next week.
Our in-school transition will take place this coming Monday, where our current Y2 children will join the Junior class for the morning.

Strike Action – as we are sure you’re all aware, teaching staff nationally have been taking strike action.
The next strike day is planned for this coming Wednesday.
On this occasion, some staff have informed me that they will be taking strike action.
Because of this, school will open for the morning and then be closed from 12.00noon on Wednesday.
Strike action is also planned for Friday 7th July – teachers WILL NOT be striking on this occasion.

Children are invited to wear their own clothes that day to stroll down the catwalk in. They will visit the French cafe where they can order a breakfast snack by speaking French. We are asking for a donation of £2 per child or £3 per family for this day.
