It has been another busy week in school this week! The juniors enjoyed taking part in various STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) activities with Irene from Lancaster University on Monday and Wednesday.
On Monday, the infants and nursery enjoyed their World of Beatrix Potter trip. The children were all brilliantly behaved, and listened beautifully when a Beatrix Potter actress read them a story. Thank you to the wonderful PTFA for providing £100.00 towards the cost of the bus for this trip.
Some of our upper junior children took part in a Netball cluster tournament at Tatham Fells on Monday afternoon. The children were all amazing and managed to win all of their games. Well done team!
We hope the parents who joined in the online Internet Safety Briefing found it useful.
Thank you to all those parents who attended their parents meeting this week, we really do value the opportunity to catch up with parents. Please remember if at any other time you would like to speak to a teacher about your child you can arrange a mutually convenient appointment for after school.

French Morning – Mrs Jones has planned a French themed morning for the whole school on Monday morning. Please can all children bring £1.00.

Cluster Celebration of Life – Tuesday 29th March – all infants and nursery children should come to school in appropriate outdoor clothing for the weather as we invite children from other local schools to join us in a Forest School session.

Easter Activity Day – Wednesday 30th March – the children will need to bring in their decorated egg entry. There will be prizes for infants, lower juniors and upper juniors. They will also need a hardboiled egg for pace egging in the afternoon.
As usual, there will be a range of craft activities in the morning and in the afternoon, there is the egg challenge, followed by the Easter Egg Hunt, with a separate Easter Egg Hunt for toddlers and nursery children. Any pre-school children that might want to join in the Easter Egg Hunt are welcome to join us at 2.30pm. The day ends with our pace egg competition.
