New Faces

A very warm welcome to our new children Arek and Emil who have joined our infant class this week.  This is the boys first experience in an English school as they have recently moved here from Poland.

Governor News

Our Chair of Governors Jayne Davies is stepping down, we are sure you will join us in thanking her for her time and commitment over the years.  Stuart Hemmingway, who is already on our board of Governors will be taking on the role of Chair going forward. The children will be familiar with Stuart from his regular visits to work with groups in our junior class.

Tower Wood Trips

A reminder that we will be visiting Tower Wood Outdoor Centre, along with children from Hornby St. Margaret’s.  Juniors will go on Monday 31st October, Infants on Thursday 3rd November.  Information sheets were sent out last week.

PFTA Fundraising While Christmas Shopping

A reminder that the PFTA set up an account with easy fundraising. Schools can raise amazing amounts of money through this scheme.  It works by parents and family members using easyfundraising.org.uk as a first step to find the retailer they want to buy from online. When you visit a website to buy something via this page it will register your sale. Easy fundraising will receive a donation based on the value of your order which will be passed onto your chosen charity or school. All you need to do is create an account on www.easyfundraising.org.uk; log onto the website and set your cause to St Peters C E Primary School Leck. Use www.easyfundraising.org.uk as your search engine every time you want to purchase something online.  You could set it as your home page so you don’t forget.

Residential Visit to Edinburgh

Parents of children in Year 5 & 6 will have found enclosed in last weeks Friday bag a letter about the upcoming residential trip to Edinburgh.  Please complete the form on the back of the letter and return with your deposit as soon as possible.  We appreciate that the trip may seem a while away but we need to confirm numbers and begin payment plans soon.

Flu Vaccine

These will be administered by the school nurse to years 1, 2 and 3 on Tuesday 8th November.
