What a fabulously, busy way to end the term. On Tuesday, Mrs Mather and the infant class welcomed 7 of our cluster schools to join them in a celebration of Lent. All children took part in various different activities throughout the day and everyone had a lovely day. On Wednesday, all children enjoyed our annual Easter Activity Day, there were some amazing decorated egg entries – well done to our winners. We have added some photos to our Facebook page.… -

We’ve had a quiet week in school this week. Thank you to all parents / carers who took time to come into school to speak with class teachers about their child/rens progress and have a look through their work on Wednesday afternoon / evening. We really do value the opportunity to catch up with parents. This week in school has been a little different. We would like to thank all parents and carers for the prompt collection of children at 12noon on both Wednesday and Thursday as school closed for strike action. We understand this may have been an inconvenience, but hope that you can understand the reasons behind staff choosing to take strike action, as with other public sector workers. The children have all had another great week in school. All children came together on Monday for a day of fabulous Science workshops organised by Mrs Mather to celebrate Science Week. The theme this year is connections, and the children took part in various activities based on this. On Tuesday, we had a record Walk2School of 22 children! It was a cold but beautiful walk and the children enjoyed some buttery toast on arrival. Our next Walk2School will be 21st… -

We’ve had a brilliant first week back in school. The Upper Junior children all thoroughly enjoyed climbing on Wednesday, with all children climbing higher than they thought they could. We are really proud of how they encouraged and helped each other! Well done Y5 & 6. On Thursday, Alice joined Y2, and her little brother Will started in Nursery.
