What a wonderful last week we’ve had. We have had a busy end to the week and we are all looking forward to a well-earned break!
During Tuesday afternoons assembly, children voted for what they would like the schoolβs charity to be for this year. They have unanimously chosen Craven Wildlife Rescue. We are looking forward to working alongside them this year to learn more about what they do and how we can help raise all important funds and awareness.
On Wednesday, the school spent the day learning about the Hindu festival of Diwali. Children worked within their house groups to make Diya lamps, chapa-ti and raita and designed Mendi and rangoli patterns.
It was wonderful to welcome many of our families into church on Wednesday afternoon where the KS2 children did an excellent job of acting out the parable of the Good Samaritan. A big thank you to Rev. Jane for organising the service.
Earlier today, we had our individual and sibling school photos β it was lovely to be able to get these taken outside in our wonderful surroundings. Proofs and information on how to order will follow. We canβt wait to see them π
School Value β our value for this half-term was βloveβ. We have focused on this in our assemblies and class worship. This half term in school we have celebrated children who have shown love in various different ways; well done to our stars of the week during Autumn term 1:
