It has been another busy week for our Y6 children, they all enjoyed bowling for the leavers night on Monday, followed by an exciting morning at QES on Tuesday. Talula joined us on Tuesday for a taster day, and will be joining the juniors as a Y3 in September. What a busy week in school, particularly for our Upper Juniors! The Big Sing was a great success – the children all thoroughly enjoyed themselves, we hope the parents who were able to watch did too! The infants from Hornby St Margaret’s joined us for Forest School on Monday where we continued our quest for the Platinum Award via the Green Tree School Woodland Trust scheme. Our walk to school breakfast trek was well attended this week, and the weather held off until we got to school; the children were treated to a delicious breakfast of toast, crumpets and fruit loaf! Unfortunately the weather didn’t hold out for the cricket tournament, but there are plenty of other sporting events coming up in the calendar! We’ve had a lovely first week back from half term, we hope the children are well rested and ready for the rather busy term ahead. This week has been relatively quiet in school but the next few weeks are very busy with sporting events, music concerts, drama days and day trips out so please make sure Friday bags are emptied and read over the weekend and returned to school on a Monday.
