This week has been very quiet in school. On Tuesday morning, a group of eight joined Mrs Mather for Walk2School and enjoyed pancakes for breakfast on arrival.
It was lovely to welcome so many parents into school for Parent Meetings. Teachers really do value this time to catch up with parents, but please remember if at any other time you would like to speak to a teacher about your child you can arrange a mutually convenient appointment for after school.
Seasonal Sickness β it is that time again for coughs, colds, flu and outbreaks of norovirus, which impacts on us all, and not in a good way! We are therefore reminding you all of the importance of being vigilant for diarrhoea and vomiting (D&V) episodes. Thorough hand washing with liquid soap and water is the most effective preventative measure, however, in the event of infection, children with D&V should not return to school until they have been symptom free for 48 hours. There is infection control guidance in the parent advice section of the website.
Christmas Crafts β thank you to everyone who has signed up to Mrs Mathers Christmas Craft Club β it is always a popular one, with more than half the school attending! We canβt wait to see their creations π
Christmas Card Fundraiser β children have been busy in school this week designing their Christmas Cards. Parents are invited into school at the end of the day next Monday & Tuesday to have a look at their child/rens designs and order if you wish. Proofs need to be sent off prior to the half term break.
Diwali Day β on Wednesday, all children will spend some time learning about and celebrating the Hindu Festival of Light. Please could all children bring a tealight to school. Thank you.
Family Worship β all families are invited to join us in Church on Wednesday 22nd October at 2:30pm for a short service. Some children are involved in reading bible verses and prayers. Refreshments will be available afterwards. We look forward to seeing lots of family and friends.
Rural Sports Network β please find attached a letter for all children in Y1-6 regarding the rural schoolsβ sports network event taking place next Thursday. All children will take part in a range of different activities. Please complete the consent and return to school for Monday. Thank you.
Forest School Stay & Play Sessions β please share with any friends / family who may be interested in coming along. Every week during term time, from 9.30-11.30am.
School Photographs β the photographer will be in school from 9.00am on Friday to take individual and family photos for all.
After School Clubs β a letter was attached last week about clubs for next half term. To book any of the clubs on offer, please return the form or email me by Monday 20th October to get your child/ren booked in. Currently, there arenβt enough children booked in to make these sessions viable.
Personal Achievements β all children are encouraged to bring any recent outside of school achievements into school, be that for sports, swimming, cubs, brownies etc.
We look forward to seeing what the children get up to and enjoy outside of school.
REMINDER: SchoolMoney β there are numerous accounts with high balances, particularly for after school clubs β please try to keep these to a minimum.
