A huge thank you to the PTFA for organising such a wonderful Christmas Fair, it was well supported by friends and families, and couldn’t have gone ahead without a fabulous team of volunteers and all the stallholders, so thank you all. Our junior children took part in a fabulous World War 1 reality lesson outside on Wednesday, where they learnt how to march in formation, ate real trench food and wrote letters to loved ones from the trenches. It was a wonderful way to learn and gave us an insight into what life could have been like for soldiers in the trenches. This week we joined the nation in supporting National Anti-Bullying Week. We have had class discussions based on this year’s theme “Choose Respect” and the junior class produced some wonderful posters. Our year 4 children all had an enjoyable day at the Festival of Light event, creating wonderful crafts based on different cultural celebrations, although I am told they enjoyed their lunch hour and the climbing frame most! Well what a hive of activity it has been this week! The Christmas play rehearsals have started, and everyone has their parts. It has been nice, albeit slightly strange at the start of November, to hear almost 40 children signing carols at the top of their voices from the office! Our 5-a-side netball team had a great time on Wednesday and played really well together as a team. We came third overall, so a big well done to those involved!… -
