Payment Cards for Edinburgh Trip
Parents of those children taking part in next year’s residential visit to Edinburgh will find a payment card in this week’s bag. This is to help you keep track of payments and spread the cost of the trip.
The total cost is £160.00 per child less the deposit already paid if applicable. You can pay in instalments between now and the end of March, or in full – it is entirely up to you. Please make sure that you send all payments into school with the card provided. Any cheques should be made payable to Lancashire County Council.
Christmas Performance
The highlight of the festive school calendar is nearly upon us with this year’s eagerly anticipated Christmas production. As with previous years, there will be two performances; both on Wednesday 14th December in the school hall at 2.00pm and 6.00pm.
As we expect the evening performance to be extremely popular, we need an idea of numbers attending. For this purpose, you will find a reply slip enclosed in this week’s bag for completion and return by Friday 9th December please. If you have pre-school children who would like to watch, and if at all possible, please bring them to the afternoon performance-thanks!
Hornby PTA School Christmas Fair
Hornby St Margaret’s School are holding their Christmas Fair on Saturday 3rd December 11am-1pm. There will be refreshments and plenty of activities, games and stalls to keep the children entertained. There is a raffle with some fantastic prizes such as family voucher for Windermere Lake Cruises and luxury hampers, to mention a couple.
Journalism Club
Mrs Mather will be starting a journalism club as of January 2017. This is open for all children from Year 1 to Year 6 and will happen on a Tuesday lunchtime. Some of the work done will be published in local village news.
Bills, Bills, Bills
Included in the Friday bags today, are outstanding invoices. Upon payment please can you either include the invoice or mark the back of the cheque or envelope with what the payment is for, this would be really helpful. Thank you.
