Newsletter – 3rd February 2017
Young Voices
Please find enclosed a full information sheet for the Young Voices concert.
Children will be leaving school at 10.30am, a brunch will be provided by the cook at Hornby School (so that they have one hot meal during the day), any children who don’t usually have a lunch on a Friday will need to pay £2.20. This does need to be paid in advance so we can let the cook at Hornby School know how many children to cater for. Children must return to school on the coach, but can be picked up from Hornby by prior arrangement. We will use the Teachers2Parents text message service to let parents know our approximate location on the journey back.
Pudding Club
The last 2 bakes of this term will take place over the next two Mondays, due to an error in dates, Elsie will now join Arek, Isla and Sophie on Monday 6th February and Emil will join Maisie and Megan on February 13th.

Safer Internet Day 2017 will take place on Tuesday 7th February with the theme ‘Be the change: unite for a better internet’.

Some of our junior children from years 5 and 6 will be attending a 7-A-Side trophy tournament at Arkholme Church of England Primary School on Wednesday 8th February. PTFA Mufti-Day
On Friday 17th February (the last day of term) we will be having a non-school uniform day when children can come in their own clothes; instead of the usual £1 charge we are asking all families for a donation towards the Easter raffle, be it an Easter egg, box of chocolates or similar. Thank you in advance.
The PFTA will hold also be holding a tuck shop and cake sale after school. Any donations of cake will be very welcome too.
Bills, Bills, Bills
A huge thank you to all those who pay their bills promptly, it really does help us in the office. Any credits from this half term will be carried forward as usual. Copies of any outstanding January (or earlier) invoices are enclosed in this week’s Friday bag.
