Year 6 SATs
Next week, our Year 6 pupils will be taking their SATs tests each morning from Monday to Thursday. The children have been working very hard preparing for ‘the big week’ and we know they will do their absolute best. We are encouraging these pupils not to worry about the week, but make sure they have a good nights’ sleep this weekend to help them feel ready for Monday.
A65 Road Closure
Those of you who drive from the Ingleton direction will have noticed there are road closure signs in place for the week commencing 8th May. This will not affect the morning school run as the road is only closed from 9.30am, however, it will affect school finishing time and pick-up, so please ensure you allow enough time to follow the diversion into Burton-in-Lonsdale.
Sports Kit – High 5 Tournament
Each child taking part in the netball tournament has had some of the fabulous new sports kit signed out to them, the kit needs to be signed back in to school by parents after being washed and laundered at home – please bring it back to the school office or Mrs Makinson as soon as possible please.
Infant Forest School
On Monday 22nd May the infant children will continue their Forest School journey at Capernwray Woods – children will need to bring a packed lunch with them. We need a group of about 3 or 4 parents to volunteer to transport the children to the woods at 9am in the morning and back at the end of the day. A full information sheet will follow.
The Book People
The Book People have left a new selection of books outside the office if you wish to have a look. If you want to order anything, please complete the form and hand your payment to me. Thanks.
Bags2School
Thank you to all who donated unwanted clothes to the Bags2School collection, you have raised another £68.00 for the PTFA. Thank you.
Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers
You can no longer collect Active Kids vouchers from Sainsbury’s, but they can be donated to your chosen school or club until 30th June. Every voucher counts towards brand new cooking and sports equipment, and experiences, so it pays to find them all. Thank you.
