Staffing News
Please find enclosed a letter from Mr Stafford-Roberts regarding staffing changes.

Infant Cooking Classes
Infant cooking sessions will continue next week with Emil, Isla, Megan and Neve. You will find a full letter from Mrs Mather with all the details in today’s Friday bag. If we are out on the Monday, children will bake on the Tuesday instead.

Westmorland Farm Open Day
The Westmorland County Agricultural Society have very kindly invited our juniors to a farm open day at Heaves Farm on Tuesday 13th June. Transport to and from the event will be provided by coach companies arranged through the Society. Children therefore need only bring a packed lunch. Due to the later return, junior children who normally go on the school bus, will need to be collected from school. More details can be found on the enclosed information sheet.

After School Bird Club
From Tuesday 13th June, Mrs Mather will be holding a bird themed after school club, to run for 4 weeks. The club will include bird watching, making bird feeders, making bird houses and much more! The cost of the club is £2 for the 4 weeks and includes the cost of the bird house. All children will need to bring in an empty yoghurt pot to make the bird feeders.

Water Main Work
Due to unforeseen circumstances work was unable to start on replacing the water main at the end of May, we have now been given a revised date of Monday 19th June. As previously mentioned, please take care and carefully supervise children at all times on the car park. All children should be collected from the playground at the end of the day.

Edinburgh Trip
Parents of children going to Edinburgh – you will find your child’s medical form in the Friday bag, please mark onto it any changes and return to the office for Monday – many thanks.

PTFA Meeting
There will be a PTFA meeting at school on Monday 12th June at 2pm. Please do come along and share ideas for our last fundraising event of the academic year. Thank you.

School Photo
Our school photo is available to view outside the office. If you wish to order a copy the cost is £11.50 and can be ordered through the office, please place any order by Monday 19th June. Please make cheques payable to Leck St Peters School.

Library Books
We are on the lookout for some library books, which we need to return to Lancashire School Library Service. They are all branded with a red rose on the spine, please could you have a look over the weekend and return any you may have to school. Thank you.

Hornby PTA Summer Fair
Hornby St Margaret’s School PTA are holding a Summer Fair this Saturday 10th June from 11am – 1pm. There will be refreshments and plenty of activities, games and stalls to keep the children entertained.  There is a raffle with some fantastic prizes.
