A Message from the Chair of Governors
It is difficult to believe that the end of another school year is upon us. What I do know about school years is that they are always busy but some, this one most definitely included, are busier than others. We have, of course, undergone inspection from Ofsted this term and as you will have read in the letter that has been sent to you our school did splendidly. There are recommendations for further development and Mr Stafford-Roberts and his staff will attend to these in the months to come. We should be thankful that the school has such a hardworking and dedicated staff who provide such a wonderfully rich and varied education for all our children.
Your continuing support is vital to the success of the school. Your views and opinions are important to us as we look to continuously improve the experiences we give each and every pupil. I would like to thank you for completing the parent and carer questionnaire sent out earlier in the year. It was really helpful to us and results were seriously considered by the governors of the school. The vast majority of comments were positive in nature but there were suggestions to help us make improvements for the future. Surveys such as these help us to know what it is that you value from the school that serves your family. The pupils too have had their opportunity provide feedback – equally informative and perceptive and equally valued. A special thanks to those of you who contributed to the Ofsted process by expressing your views to the inspector. This was very helpful in determining the final outcome.
Thanks too from the governors to the PTFA who have worked hard to fund raise on behalf of the school and who have organised all sorts of events through the year. I’m sure they would welcome further recruits if you are interested. The governing body would also always welcome interest from anyone from the school community wishing to be involved in their work to support the school.
Finally a huge thanks to all of the pupils, your sons and daughters, who are simply fantastic – a real credit both to you and to our school.
Regards,
Stuart Hemingway on behalf of the Governing Body .
