Spring Term – Edition 15
Welcome Back! – a very Happy New Year to you and your families and we hope that you all enjoyed the festivities over the holidays! We would all just like to say a big thank you to all the children and parents who sent in lovely cards and gifts for the staff at Christmas – they were very much appreciated!
School Dinners – for those parents who wish to pay for their children’s school meals up to half term, this will be at a cost of £55.00 (Monday 8th January to Friday 9th February = 25 meals @ £2.20 per meal) Cheques should be made payable to Lancashire County Council – thank you. Any credits will carry forward as usual. Invoices are enclosed and show the weekly and termly payment amounts.
After School Club – as you are all aware the provision for after school club is now in the hands of Kidz Day Nursery at Ingleton, please book directly with them if you require after school care, their contact telephone number is 015242 41903. The link is also available on our website.
KS1 Multi Skills – our infant children will be attending a Multi Skills event at Hornby on Tuesday 16th January. There is an information sheet in your Friday bag for those parents of children involved. Please make sure the children have their PE kit in school along with a warm sweatshirt and jogging bottoms. They should also bring a named bottle of water. Thank you.
Dance Lessons – junior children will have dance lessons on Tuesday afternoons from Tuesday 16th January throughout the spring term with a dance teacher from QES. Please make sure they have their PE kits in school.
KS2 Big Sing Workshop – all junior children will be taking part in three “Big Sing” music workshops, as part of a Sedbergh school initiative, with the first being Wednesday 17th January. Sessions consist of learning new songs (picked specifically for their age group), enjoying singing games and learning to sing well and use the voice properly through a series of fun warm ups.
School Admissions September 2018 – primary school applications close this Monday (15th January), please apply via your local county council website, if this is Lancashire County Council visit www.lancashire.gov.uk and search “school admissions”. Parents will be informed of places on Monday 16th April 2018.
Infant Class Newsletter – all infants will find a class newsletter giving you specific information on the focus of studies for this term.
Diddi Dance – Nursery – please can all nursery children who attend on Friday please bring with them either a baseball cap or hoodie for Friday, as they will be doing a hip-hop dance session in Diddi Dance. Thank you.
