Spring Term – Edition 18
SchoolMoney – thank you to those families who kindly agreed to trial the SchoolMoney system this past week, we will be rolling the facility out to all parents from Monday.
From Monday onwards, you will receive a text message and email containing your password to log in. For families with more than one child, you will only receive one log in – for your eldest child in school – but you will see the younger siblings sitting in the same account.
Once again, we appreciate your cooperation in the early stages of rolling this system out to you, and as always, you can still pay via cash or cheque if you prefer.
7-aside Football at Arkholme – parents of the upper junior children involved in the 7-aside football tournament at Arkholme on Tuesday 6th February will find a full information sheet in this week’s Friday bag.
Church Service – next Thursday 8th February the Disciples – our worship team, alongside Ms Lauren Platt, will be running a service in the Church from 2.45pm – parents, grandparents, family & friends please all come along and join us. Children whose parents (or other nominated pick-up) attend can be taken home straight from the Church.
Infants – as part of the infant topic work on ‘Buildings’ Mrs Browne is hoping to take R, Y1, and Y2 on a walk around Leck and Cowan Bridge to do some geography fieldwork. It will be one afternoon next week, dependant on weather, so please ensure children wear suitable coats and shoes all next week.
Clothing from around the World – as part of next half terms topic work Mrs Browne is in need of examples of clothing from around the world. If you have any clothes, shoes, hats etc. that she could borrow please could you bring them into school for the end of next week. Please ensure items are named. Thank you.
NEW: Infants Construction Club – Mrs Chesters will be running a Construction Club for all infants, starting after half term on a Tuesday, for one hour after school. Please note our last session will be Tuesday 20th March. If your child/ren wish to attend please sign the consent at the bottom of the newsletter and return to us by Monday please.
Film Club – Mrs Mather’s ever-popular Film Club will be back after half term, starting on Thursday 22nd February from 3.15pm – 4.15pm. If your child wishes to attend, please sign the consent form at the bottom of the newsletter and return to us by Monday please. As always, it is just 20p on the day for popcorn.
Please note there will be no film club on the last Thursday before Easter (29th March).
REMINDER: Year 6 Health Needs Assessment Questionnaire – if you do not wish your child to take part, please let school know by Friday 9th February at the very latest. We do have a copy of the questionnaire in school should you wish to view it.
School Vacancy – the school is currently advertising for a Part Time Welfare Assistant (5.5 hours) – every Wednesday, Thursday & Friday – term time only from 11.45am to 1.15pm.
This includes collection of meals from Melling on Friday therefore, use of a car is essential.
Lancashire County Council pay the Living Wage of £8.25 per hour plus time and mileage for collection of meals.
Family Club @ the I-Centre – you will find a flyer in your Friday bag this week advertising the Family Club run by Ingleton Evangelical Church on Sunday 4th February at 2.30pm.
