A huge thank you to the PTFA for organising such a wonderful Christmas Fair, it was well supported by friends and families, and couldn’t have gone ahead without a fabulous team of volunteers and all the stallholders, so thank you all. The money raised by the PTFA benefits all children, and we are pleased to say the Christmas Fair raised a total of: £234.00.
There are still some Christmas Puddings left at £3.00 each, please pop into the office or see Mrs Mather if you would like one.
On Wednesday, the children all enjoyed the Christmas activity day and produced some wonderful displays.
This week is relatively quiet in school; we are looking forward to our Panto visit and the dress rehearsal of the Christmas performance.
Christmas Post Box – the post box will open on Monday 3rd December, for your children to send Christmas cards to each other. Please ensure the envelopes are clearly named with the recipient’s full name and class so our posties are able to deliver.
REMINDER: Christmas Performance – the highlight of the festive school calendar is nearly upon us with this year’s eagerly anticipated Christmas production – ‘A Game for Christmas’. As with previous years, there will be two performances; both on Wednesday 12th December in the school hall at 2.00pm and 6.00pm.
As we expect the evening performance to be extremely popular, we need an idea of numbers attending. For this purpose, you will find a reply slip enclosed in this week’s bag for completion and return by Friday 8th December please. If you have pre-school children who would like to watch, and if possible, please bring them to the afternoon performance.
REMINDER: Christmas Pantomime – this year, the whole school will be visiting “The Selfish Giant” at the Brewery Arts Centre on Thursday 6th December. A full information sheet is enclosed in today’s bag.
PTFA Mufti-Day – Friday 7th December – children can come to school in their own clothes, in return for any item suitable for a Christmas Hamper, which will be raffled off at the Christmas performances. Thank you.
Leck Playgroup Visit – Leck playgroup will be visiting school on Monday 17th December from 9.30am – 11.30am, please feel free to stay with younger siblings and tell any friends and family members to come along too.
REMINDER: Christmas Lunch! – Monday is the last chance to order for our special Christmas Lunch on Tuesday 18th December (to allow the kitchen to order the turkey).
If you child already receives a school lunch that day, then you do not need to complete the form.
Governors – we currently have a few vacancies on the board of governors, including a vacancy for a parent governor. Please come and talk to Mr Stafford-Roberts if you feel you could fill this role and would like to apply for the vacancy. If you have any family members or friends who may also be interested in joining the board, please send them our way. Thank you.
