It is Thursday and not Friday, however, due to staff absence we have decided to send the Friday bags today. Invoices for Early Morning Club and School Meals are enclosed for Monday-Thursday this week and Friday will be added onto next week’s.
This week has been relatively quiet in school. Our Y2 children all did us proud at the multi-skills sporting event at Caton on Wednesday, and all enjoyed the afternoon.
Swimming sessions will re-commence TOMORROW, please help your child/ren to remember to bring their kit to school.
Arctic Mission – please could all infant children bring in clothes dressed for an arctic mission on Tuesday.
The infants are currently working on a polar topic, so if anyone has any polar themed books, photos, toys etc. that we could borrow, please send them in. Thank you.
Early Years – children in Reception and Nursery will be baking cakes and biscuits on Tuesday, to sell after school for money to aid their money topic. Cakes will be priced at 5p, 10p, and 20p. Please can you send your child in with small change if you would like your child to buy. (Open to ALL children).
Edinburgh Residential Visit – we’re looking ahead to the summer months already and, in particular, the residential visit in July! Just to remind parents that the final balance will need to be paid by the end of March. Regular payments, or indeed full payment, can be made anytime between now and then using the payment cards previously provided. If anyone has lost or mislaid their card, please do let us know as we can produce more to enable you to keep track of your payments.
Juniors – later this half term, all junior children will be working with paper mache as part of their Ancient Greece topic, and we are busy collecting resources for this. Any newspapers, kitchen rolls and cardboard ‘insides’ of sellotape/parcel tape would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Welfare Assistant – we are still looking for a welfare assistant, are you or anyone you know interested? We need someone to help serve meals and supervise the children during their midday break. The vacancy is term time only covering Wednesday & Thursday from 11.45am – 1.15pm. Please contact the office for more details.
The Book People – have left a new selection of books, they’re outside the office, please pop in and have a look. If you would like to order anything, please complete the form and hand your payment to a member of staff, he will be collecting TOMORROW. Thanks.
