Well what an end to the week, and half term. The singers all did a fantastic job last night; we hope all the parents who went enjoyed the show as much as we all did! What a fabulous experience for all those involved.
Today the children have all thoroughly enjoyed their sessions on the Life Education Bus, learning all about ourselves, friendships, feeling and our brains.

After School Clubs – Fitness Fun Club – Mrs Eccleston still has availability at her Fitness Fun Club on Monday afternoons from 25th February at 3.15-4.45pm. The club is open to all children; please return the reply slip at the bottom of the newsletter alongside payment of £30, thank you.

Infant Forest School – following Mrs Mather’s successful Level 3 Forest School training, the infants will be continuing their Forest School Adventures on Monday 25th February with a visit to the wooded area here at Leck School. Children will need appropriate outdoor clothing suitable for the weather, including waterproofs. Children will be provided with a packed lunch and will get their usual snack, so no need to send anything in.

Infant Cooking Classes – due to Forest School on Monday, our baking session will resume on Tuesday 26th February with Freyah, Hugo & Thomas. The infants bake in groups, on a rota basis, on Monday mornings. This half term we will be baking and icing fairy cakes. In this week’s bag, you will find a letter from Mrs Mather with full details and ingredients.

Parents Meetings – our spring term round of parents meetings will take place on Wednesday 6th from 3.30-5.30pm & Thursday 7th March from 5.00-7.00pm. Please remember to sign up for your preferred date and time on the appointment sheets, which are on display on the noticeboard in the school hall. Parents can telephone the office to book an appointment if this is more convenient.

World Book Day – you will find an order form for a special World Book Day Lunch on Thursday 7th March at the bottom of the newsletter. If your child already receives school lunches, then you do not need to return the slip. However, if your child would like lunch that day, please send in your completed slip by Monday 25th February.

PE Kit – please can we ensure all children have a correct PE kit in school following the half term break. This should comprise of a green round neck t-shirt and shorts, black pumps should already be in school.

Seeking – the infants are seeking spray bottles, long tubes and shoeboxes for various projects after half term. Please bring these into school following the half term break if you have anything suitable. Thank you.

Wray Scarecrow Festival Football Competition – children in Y4-6 are invited to take part in a football competition held over the weekend of Wray Fair – 5th & 6th May.  An information sheet is included in their Friday bags today from the Scarecrow Committee giving details for anyone who would like to get involved.

Welfare Assistant – we are still looking for a welfare assistant. We need someone to help serve meals and supervise the children during their midday break.  The vacancy is term time only covering Wednesday & Thursday from 11.45am – 1.15pm.  Please contact the office for more details.

Governors – we are actively seeking new governors to join our board – do you know anyone? Ideally, we are looking for non-parental governors, to compliment and work alongside the board we currently have.
