21st June 2019
What a busy week in school, particularly for our Upper Juniors! The Big Sing was a great success – the children all thoroughly enjoyed themselves, we hope the parents who were able to watch did too!
The infants from Hornby St Margaret’s joined us for Forest School on Monday where we continued our quest for the Platinum Award via the Green Tree School Woodland Trust scheme.
The upper juniors were out at Hornby on Tuesday for the Shakespeare Day, they all had an enjoyable day, each taking part in acting out scenes from Macbeth and A Midsummer Night’s Dream; it was also a great opportunity to mix with children from other local schools.
School was rather quiet for an hour or so on Tuesday as the infants headed off to Westhouse Nursery, they were given a tour of the nursery and got to see the potting machine! There were lots of lovely plants coming back through the doors at lunchtime!
Once again the KLRUFC Rugby Tournament was a huge success, with them seeing the best of the weather this week too! All the children enjoyed the various rugby-based activities, a big thank you to Kirkby Lonsdale RUFC for providing this opportunity to children.
The upper junior children were out again on Friday morning for the Rounders Tournament at Hornby, they all played really well together as a team.
