It has been another busy week for our Y6 children, they all enjoyed bowling for the leavers night on Monday, followed by an exciting morning at QES on Tuesday. Talula joined us on Tuesday for a taster day, and will be joining the juniors as a Y3 in September. The juniors were out on Thursday at Heaves Farm, the weather was beautiful and all had an enjoyable day.
DEADLINE 30th June: School Photos – the deadline for ordering photos is this Sunday, please order before then if you would like a copy.
Edinburgh Trip – please remember all children going to Edinburgh will need to be in school ready to get on the bus at 8.45am on Monday. A packed lunch will also be needed for the first day.
If any children require medication during the trip, please come to school on Monday morning with the enclosed medical form complete and hand to Mr Stafford-Roberts or Mrs Chesters. Thank you. We hope all the children going have a fantastic time.
Infants Ryelands School Visit – our infant children have been invited to visit Ryelands Primary School on Monday 1st July, where they will be taking part in various activities with their infant children. Children will need a packed lunch and drink. A full information sheet is enclosed.
Infants Lancaster Field Trip – infants will also be going out on Tuesday 2nd July to have a tour of Lancaster, we will also be having lunch out – the cost for this is £5.95 per child. If you haven’t already done so, please return the reply slip at the bottom of this newsletter, cheques should be made payable to Lancashire County Council or payment can be made online via the SchoolMoney service. Thank you. A full information sheet is enclosed.
Lancashire Library Bus Visit – the library bus will be visiting school on Tuesday 2nd July to collect all borrowed books – this is the final visit of the academic year so all books MUST be returned. If you will be in Edinburgh, please bring them in to the office on Monday morning.
Baby & Toddler Play Session – Tuesday 9th July – please find enclosed a leaflet for our upcoming baby & toddler play session, we would be extremely grateful if you could advertise them locally or pass them onto anyone you feel may be interested. Thank you in advance.
Sports Day – we all have our fingers crossed this good weather continues for Wednesday 10th July, so that sports day can go ahead as planned at 1.15pm. Everyone is welcome to come along and cheer the children on! If your child has a t-shirt in the colour of their house please could they bring it to wear, we have, Blue, Green, Red and Yellow. After sports day the PTFA will be serving scones, tea & coffee and biscuits / ice lollies for the children. Thank you.
Whole School Trip – this year for our whole school trip we are going on a journey. We will be leaving school via coach to Haverthwaite where we will hop on the train to Lakeside, and then catch the boat to Bowness. We will have lunch in Bowness before catching a further boat to Brockhole and return to school on the coach. If you haven’t already done so, please return the consent form at the bottom of the newsletter alongside payment. We are asking all parents for a contribution towards the cost of the trip of £10.00 per pupil, payment can be made online via SchoolMoney or cheques should be made payable to Lancashire County Council. Thank you.
Infants Peter Rabbit Day – on Monday 15th July the infants will be having a Peter Rabbit themed day, where we will also be watching the movie (rated PG) if anyone has any objections please come and see us. Children are also encouraged to dress up for the occasion, be it bunny ears, Mr McGregor or Beatrix Potter herself.
School Meals – please find enclosed a letter regarding school meals for September onwards. Please return the slip ASAP, thank you.
Trophies – please can all trophies be returned to school ready for our end of year awards.
Reports – school reports will be coming home next Friday; please ensure you return the Friday bag next week for them to come home in, thank you.
The Book People – have left a new selection of books, they’re outside the office, please pop in and have a look. If you would like to order anything, please complete the form and hand your payment to me, he will be collecting next Friday. Thank you.
