20th November 2020
This week has been very quiet in school. We hope all our junior children are keeping safe and well at home.
We have updated our advice page for Coronavirus with the latest information regarding the current junior isolation and a letter with information about ‘ZOE – a school symptom study’ app which we are actively encouraging all parents to download.
REMINDER: Parent Questionnaire – please can any outstanding parental questionnaires be returned upon children’s return to school. Thank you.
Welfare Assistant – we are still seeking to appoint a welfare assistant on a Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 11.45am – 1.15pm (term time only). We need someone to help serve meals and supervise the children during their midday break. Please contact the office for more details and pass on to any family or friends who may be interested.
Infants Forest School – the infants, including nursery until lunchtime, will be continuing their Forest School Adventures on Monday. They will need appropriate outdoor clothing suitable for the weather. A hat, scarf and gloves may be useful too, given the cold, windy weather we’ve had recently.
Christmas Activity Day – preparations are under way for our Christmas activity day, which is due to take place on Wednesday 2nd December.
This year our colour scheme is blue, grey, silver and white and we would be very grateful for any donations of the following:
- Cardboard tubes – kitchen roll, wrapping paper
- Wool, ribbon and fabric (in the colour scheme)
- Old books – no picture books please
- Small pine / fir cones
- Twigs – pencil thickness of different lengths
- Decorative branches for spraying and hanging decorations on – upto 1 or 1.5m lengths
- Wooden skewers – BBQ type
Please send them to school as soon as possible, so we can quarantine them before use. Thank you.
Yorkshire Dales National Park Visit – the visit has been rescheduled for Thursday 3rd December.
PTFA News –

Mufti-Day – Friday 4th December – children can come to school in their own clothes, in return for any item suitable for a Christmas Hamper, which will be raffled off at the end of term. Thank you.
