4th December 2020

This week has been a hive of activity. It has been lovely to welcome back all our children to school.
Morecambe football sessions continued on Tuesday, and will carry on until Tuesday 15th December, so please ensure appropriate outdoor PE kit is available in school. Swimming will also carry on until Thursday 17th December so please help children to remember their kit.
Our annual Christmas Activity Day took place on Wednesday and the children have produced some wonderful displays, some pictures have been uploaded to our Facebook page.

Welfare Assistant – we are still seeking to appoint a welfare assistant on a Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 11.45am – 1.15pm (term time only). We need someone to help serve meals and supervise the children during their midday break.  Please contact the office for more details and pass on to any family or friends who may be interested.

Post Box – the post box is open! If children would like to send cards to their friends in school, they must go in the post box this week.  We will then empty the box just before the end of term and distribute the cards.

Infants Forest School – the infant children will continue their Forest School activities on Monday afternoon.
Children will need appropriate outdoor clothing suitable for the weather including waterproof trousers.

Christmas Lunch – all children will be having Christmas Lunch on Tuesday 8th December.

Yorkshire Dales National Park Visit on Wednesday afternoon the juniors will be taking part in a Living Things Woodland Study. Children should come to school in warm clothes with wellies and waterproofs too. Over the weekend, if children can find some different or unusual leaves / seeds please pop them in a bag and bring them in to show. All children will also need an empty carrier bag too. Thank you.

Edinburgh Residential – Y5 & 6 – June 2021 – we wanted to let you know that we are looking ahead to a post COVID-19 world where residential trips are able to go ahead, so feeling optimistic we have booked Edinburgh Youth Hostel for 23rd-25th June 2021. Please find attached letter from Mr Stafford-Roberts.
