It has been wonderful to have all the children back in school this week. They have all enjoyed seeing their friends and teachers again and getting settled back into the routine of school.  

Welfare Assistant – we have a vacancy for a welfare assistant on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 11.45am – 1.15pm (term time only). We need someone to help serve meals and supervise the children during their midday break.  Please contact the office for more details or pass on to any friends or family members who may be interested.

School Meals – as always, children can have a variety of school meals and packed lunches, all we ask is that the days are consistent every week and if you wish to change days or stop taking school meals please let us know. We are currently working on the meals list from Autumn term – if you wish to change this please email me. This week we have had incidents where children haven’t ordered school meals who should have, and where children have had both a school meal ordered and a packed lunch in school.

Financial Year End – as we come to the end of our financial year, please can we ask that all SchoolMoney accounts are up to date. Reminder texts were sent earlier this week. If you are having problems logging in please let us know.   

Virtual Parents Meeting – we are planning to hold virtual parents meetings during the last week of term. This has worked well in other local schools and teachers really do value this time to talk to parents. Each meeting will be a maximum of 10 minutes per child. Time slots and links will be forwarded to all parents next week.

Easter Activity Day – as with most things, our annual Easter Activity Day will be different this year. We will be staggering activities throughout the week as we keep our infant and junior bubbles separate.
More information will follow next week.  

World Book Day – children are coming home with a £1 World Book Day token which can be exchanged for one of ten exclusive World Book Day Books. Vouchers are valid until 28th March 2021.

PTFA News –
Bag2School – we have arranged a Bag2School for Thursday 22nd April.
There will be some Bags2School bags on the bench in the playground at drop off and pick up next week for those parents who have been asking.
Unfortunately, bags can’t be dropped at school until Thursday 22nd April.
Fundraising Events – whilst we can’t all get together for our fundraising events like the Bunny Drive, we welcome any ideas for fundraising which can happen either in school or virtually. Please send in any suggestions.

Lancashire Adult Learning – are offering some free family learning events taking place online during the Easter holidays. More information and links to enrol are below.

Let’s Do LEGO – Family Challenge
Monday 29th March, 1-2:30pm

Work together as a team to complete tasks set by our Family Learning team! Design a balloon powered car, join in a new 10 minute challenge and more…Come along, have fun and build up your STEM skills too! Resource packs provided- but you will need LEGO at home.

Family Learning Spring Fair

Get online and join us as a family on our Family Learning Spring Fair. Take part in lots of fun and exciting seasonal themed crafts, games and activities. Resource packs will be provided so you can take part from home.

Easter ‘Egg’stravaganza
Thurs 1st April, 1pm-2:30pm

For children aged 3-6 and their parents / carers

Join us for an ‘Egg ‘citing time this Easter in the comfort of your own home! Our family learning session will comprise of special spring themed games, quizzes and crafts. With parents / carers support, children will learn whilst having an abundance of seasonal fun.  

You’ll receive a resource pack through the post so you can be ‘hands on’ with all the crafty activities. So come on, don’t ‘chick’en out and enrol now!  The family learning team and our very cheeky MYSTERY GUEST can’t wait to see you there!
