We have had another lovely week in school. The children have all enjoyed the various Easter activities which have taken place throughout the week, and we’ve had some beautifully decorated egg designs – it was certainly very difficult to choose our winners!
The infant children all enjoyed their forest school session on Monday afternoon; they started with some tree identification work followed by some willow wand making.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all staff and parents for the various ways in which you’ve adapted to the ongoing situation and for all the support we have received over the past year.
On our return to school on Monday 12th April, please can we politely remind everyone to stick to individual drop-off and pick-up times to allow for appropriate social distancing within the school grounds and the car park. Children should not be playing on or with any of the equipment before or after school.
Track & Trace – we hope that all children will remain fit and well over the Easter break, but if your child/ren develop symptoms of coronavirus before the end of Sunday 28th March, please can we ask that you email us on head@leck-st-peters.lancs.sch.uk and we can assist with track and trace if necessary.
Staffing – following the Easter break we have some slight changes to staffing. Mrs Stalker will be working 3 days per week, Wednesday to Friday and Mrs Elliott will be working all day Monday and Tuesday. Children may see Mrs Elliott on other days as she is working with various children on recovery programmes.
Mrs Tidd and Mrs Cottam will continue to share teaching of the junior class.
Mrs Galley will also be working with us at lunchtimes – it has been lovely to welcome her back to school this week.
Swimming – all junior children will continue to swim on a Wednesday afternoon. Please help your child/ren to remember their kit.
Junior Homework – Mrs Tidd and Mrs Cottam have put an Easter homework letter on the OneDrive – please ensure children log on and have a read. Thank you.
FINAL REMINDER: Financial Year End – as we come to the end of our financial year, please can we ask that all SchoolMoney accounts are up to date. Reminder texts were sent this morning. If you are having problems logging in please let us know.
Car Park – it has been brought to our attention that parents are parking on the wall side of the car park. Please can we remind you to only park on the fence side of the car park and carefully walk children up to school on the wall side. This is to prevent accidents occurring. We have had a couple of close calls this term.
