We’ve had a great week in school this week! You may have noticed the new outdoor gym equipment has been installed this week and has been enjoyed by some of the children today!  
The whole school photo has now arrived from Tempest Photography, and you should have received a copy on Thursday, let us know if you haven’t as we do have spares. Please place any orders online directly with them and they will be dispatched to school. Thank you.
KLRUFC have made the decision to cancel the rugby tournament which was due to take place next Wednesday afternoon, the decision wasn’t made lightly but deemed necessary after the closure of some local school bubbles.
Our Athletics team had an excellent morning at Arkholme on Tuesday and brought home the trophy! They were joint winners alongside one other school against our local cluster schools. We were really impressed with how well they worked as a team. We have added some pictures to our school Facebook page.

Juniors Geology Workshop – on Monday, Rebecca from the Yorkshire Dales National Park Association will be visiting school to host a geology workshop for the junior children.   

Infants Borwick Hall – all our infant children will be taking part in an outdoor education day at Borwick Hall Education Centre on Thursday 1st July – a full information sheet is attached.  Children will need to come to school with a packed lunch, dressed in appropriate clothing for the weather, with a spare change of clothes and a towel in their rucksack.

Veg Garden – on Thursday, Mrs Galley has very kindly agreed to build the raised beds for the vegetable garden. We are seeking volunteers with wheelbarrows to assist with barrowing the top soil at the end of the school day. Our infant children will be back from Borwick Hall at 4.45pm, if any parents would like to arrive earlier to help. Please email to let us know.   

Cluster Rounders – some of our junior children will be taking part in a cluster rounders tournament at Hornby St Margaret’s next Friday 2nd July. A full information sheet is attached for those involved. 

Reception 2021 Intake – all children who will be starting Reception in September will be invited to come to school and stay for lunch on Monday 5th July. Children should be collected at 1pm.
The following Monday 12th July, children will be invited to come to school and stay for lunch and parents are being asked to attend a short induction meeting at 12.00pm.  

Coming up this half term
