This week has been relatively quiet in school; however, the Christmas preparations are all in full swing. Please can we ask parents to encourage all children to practise their lines over the weekend. We do not want to be seeing any scripts next week! Thank you. We would also like to remind everyone that costumes are due in by Monday. Many thanks to all those which are already in.
All children had a Friday bag last week, which had a reply slip for the Christmas performances. We have been able to allocate all those who returned their slip tickets for their preferred time, and the evening performance is now full as distancing is still in place. Anyone who is left to let us know will have to join the afternoon performance.

School Times – please may we politely remind everyone that school begins at 9am and finishes at 3.15pm. School doors are open from 8.50am and all children should be in school, sat at their tables ready for lessons by 9am.  We are increasingly seeing some children late to school each day – this impacts ALL childrens learning. If you arrive after 9am, please now sign the children in through the office door.

Y3 /4 – please can all children bring in a Christmas story to share on Monday. Thank you.   

Infants – please can all infant children bring in an empty small baked bean tin next week please.

After School Film Club – this week children will begin to watch The Christmas Chronicles 2.

Walk 2 School – our next Walk to School is arranged for Tuesday 7th December. As always, any children taking part will enjoy breakfast together when they arrive at school. We will meet at 8.20am in the carpark at the back of Cowan Bridge Village Stores.

Christmas Shopping – on Monday 13th December, we will be hosting a Christmas shopping event from 3.15pm. Children will have the opportunity to spend their pocket money on Christmas presents for you and/or members of your family; they will choose from a wide range of gifts and then personally wrap the present themselves. The gifts range between £3.00 & £5.00. We really hope that you will support this activity, as we believe it encourages the Christmas spirit of giving.

REMINDER: Nursery & Reception Open Evening – please share details of our open evening with anyone who has a child due to start Reception or Nursery from September 2022 who may wish to join us for a chat with the staff, discover what school life is like here at Leck and have a tour of our wonderful setting.

PTFA Raffle – earlier this week children came home with an envelope with raffle tickets enclosed. Please return any sold tickets, alongside payment, by Friday 10th December. Any unsold tickets should also be returned to school. Please contact the office if you require any more. Thank you.
