What a fabulous week we’ve had in school to round off a brilliant half term. It was great to see so many children enthusiastically choosing gifts to give to loved ones on Monday afternoon – many thanks to all the parents for enabling us to do it.
The pantomime was thoroughly enjoyed by all children on Tuesday morning, it was lovely to hear the raucous laughter, cheering and booing from the office.
I’m sure you’ll all agree how fantastically well the children all did to pull out 2 show stopping performances. A very big thank you and well done to all the staff who gave up their valuable time to rehearsals and making costumes and scenery.

Young Voices – unfortunately the Young Voices organisers have made the difficult decision to postpone the concerts scheduled to take place at the beginning of next term and move them to the Summer term. The organisers are working hard behind the scenes and we will be told of our new concert date in the New Year.

Reception / Y6 Height & Weight – a letter accompanies this email to children in Reception and Y6 from the school nurses.

Newspaper – please consider saving and donating any newspapers to school for our Art and Literacy projects. The upper junior children will all need a newspaper each for their journalistic writing topic. Thank you.

Games Club – following the Christmas break, Mrs Mather will be running an after-school Games Club on Tuesday from 3.15-4.15pm starting Tuesday 4th January. If your child/ren would like to attend, please let the office know via email. The cost of the club for the half-term is £12.00 and will be made available on SchoolMoney.

Hot Chocolate & Toast – during the winter months, children from the Eco Team will be selling hot chocolate and toast on a Monday break to raise money towards the compost and seeds needed for the veg beds next Spring. This will start on Monday 10th January. Any children wishing to join in should bring £2.50, to cover the half-term, in a named envelope before next Friday so we know how many children to provide for between now and Christmas. Thank you.

Christmas Performances – Lost Property – a scarf was left in Church – please let us know if it is yours and we will get it back to you. We have also found a purple purse on school property. Please contact us if it is yours. Thank you.

School Money end of month reminders have been sent out this morning to anyone with outstanding payments for Early Morning Club, Film Club and School Meals. There are a number of accounts with quite high balances from November – please can we ask that account balances are kept to a minimum. Thank you.

PTFA WE WOULD LIKE TO SAY A GREAT BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTS OUR FUNDRAISING EFFORTS; ALL MONEY RAISED BENEFITS ALL CHILDREN IN SCHOOL.

And Finally…… as this is the last newsletter of the term, may I, Mr Stafford-Roberts, all teachers and staff wish you and your families a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year! We look forward to seeing you all again on Tuesday 4th January 2022!
