If you would like to place an order please follow the payment instructions on the form and return all orders to school before Friday 14th October.  You can of course order on-line as per the instructions on the order form, the same deadline applies unless you are having photos delivered directly to your home at an extra cost. Many thanks.

Infant Class Reading Helpers
Our infant class are still in need of some helpers. If parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles or friends are able to spare some time to come in and listen to children read we would be very grateful.  Please get in touch if you can help, many thanks.

Parents Evening
Parent’s Evenings are on Wednesday 12th 3.30-6.30pm. The appointment sheets will be displayed on the notice board next to the school office from Monday and parents are invited to come into school and indicate their preferred time and date.  Please could parents of reception children book a double appointment, this will enable them to discuss the curriculum as well. Junior parents should choose their child’s English & Maths teacher to speak with in the first instance.  Parents can telephone the office to reserve their appointments if they can’t make it into school.  Staff really value the opportunity to talk to parents on these evenings. The school nurse will be available from 3.30pm onwards on the Wednesday for any parent wishing to discuss their child’s health. No appointment necessary for this.

Welfare Assistant
Are you or anyone you know interested in 3 hours or more welfare work? We need someone to help serve meals and supervise the children during their midday break, in particular on a Friday.  The vacancy is term time only.  Lancashire County Council pay the Living Wage of £7.80 per hour, please contact either Mr Stafford-Roberts or the office for more details.

Farewell
I’m sure you will join us in wishing Mrs Korepta one of our welfare assistants a fond farewell. Mrs Korepta worked with us on Mondays and Tuesday and she will be missed by both the staff and children.  Next week will be her last, we wish her all the very best for the future.

Book Trust
The book trust have sent us some free gift packs to give out to our reception children as they do every year, we have lots of spares so are sending one out to each of our infant children to enjoy.
