Infant Forest School
On Monday 3rd April the infant children will continue their Forest School journey at Lords Lot Woods in Capernwray – children will need to bring a packed lunch with them. A full information sheet is included in this week’s Friday bag.

Blackpool Zoo
On Tuesday 4th April our infant children will be going on a day trip to Blackpool Zoo! There will be a fun interactive session which will involve live animals as well as time for the children to explore and enjoy the zoo. The PTFA have very kindly paid for this trip, so there is no cost to parents. A packed lunch will be provided. A full information sheet is included in this week’s Friday bag.

Easter Service
We are looking forward to welcoming parents and relatives to our end of term Easter Service at Leck Church on Tuesday 4th April. Please aim to arrive for 6.30pm. The children have all been practising very hard to be word and pitch perfect for the evening!
At the end of the service, we hope you will join us as we say goodbye to Mrs Wheatley, Mr Stafford-Roberts will be saying a few words and we will be presenting Mrs Wheatley with the lovely gifts we have been able to get for her, thanks to all your donations.

Reminder: Easter Activity Day – 5th April 2017
The children will need to bring in their decorated egg entry. There will be prizes for infants, lower juniors and upper juniors. They will also need a hardboiled egg for pace egging in the afternoon.
As usual there will be activities in the morning and in the afternoon there is the egg challenge, followed by the Easter Egg Hunt. With a separate Easter Egg Hunt for toddlers, nursery and reception children.
Any pre-school children that might want to join in the Easter Egg Hunt are welcome to join us at 2.30pm. The day ends with our pace egg competition.
Children also need to start collecting material (moss, stones, sticks/branches etc.) to make their very own “miniature Easter garden” (about baking tray size).

Decorated Egg Competition
On Easter Activity Day this year our decorated egg competition theme is Sci-Fi.

Cricket Club
The Lancashire cricket coach will be teaching children after school starting Tuesday 25th April at Hornby, children from Leck are more than welcome to attend, please let us know in the office if your child wishes to attend. Parents will need to get their children to Hornby St Margaret’s for 3.30pm for the hour long session.

Edinburgh Residential
Payment for the Edinburgh residential is now over-due. Please can anyone with an outstanding balance pay ASAP. Enclosed in this week’s bag is a note showing any balance owing, if applicable. If the deadline causes any problems, please do come and speak to us in confidence. Any cheques should be made payable to Lancashire County Council– thank you.

Leck St Peters Church Coffee Morning
Saturday 1st April from 10:30-12 noon. Come along for coffee and cake to raise money to employ a youth worker for the benefice of East Lonsdale’s six churches.

Children’s workshop at Wray Institute
On Good Friday 14th April, 10.00am – 1.15 pm
THEME: THE TREE OF LIFE: Stories, crafts, songs and more, any child attending primary school most welcome
(please note this workshop is not suitable for pre-schoolers). Children should bring a packed lunch
