Autumn Term – Edition 7
Agreements – last week we sent out our Home-School agreement and the Internet Acceptable Use agreement, please can they be returned to us. Thank you to those who have already brought them back in.
Residential Visit to Arnside – thank you to all the parents who have returned the slip and deposit for the Arnside Residential. A copy of the original letter from Mr Stafford-Roberts is included in the bag today for any children we are still waiting for a reply from. We really need to know by Monday 30th October if your child/ren will be going, so we can confirm numbers with the Youth Hostel.
Infant Baking Classes – will resume on Monday 30th October starting off with Joshua & Lucy and, once again, the infants will be cooking in pairs, on a rota basis, on Monday mornings. The bake this half term will be Mince Pies, and in this week’s bag, you will find a letter with full details and ingredients.
Year Six Pupils – the deadline for secondary school applications is 31st October, please remember to apply to your own local authority for places.
Primary school applications close on January 15th 2018.
Tower Wood – a reminder that we will be visiting Tower Wood Outdoor Centre, along with children from Hornby St. Margaret’s. Infants will go on Thursday 2nd November and juniors on Thursday 3rd November. Information sheets were sent out last week.
Boxes of Hope – need to be returned to school for Thursday 2nd November, as they are being picked up from Hornby on Monday 6th November.
School Meals – in today’s Friday bag you will find enclosed our autumn / winter menu for your interest. On Monday 6th November we will be starting on week 1. If your children are not currently having school meals but would like to on sight of the delicious options on the menu, please let us know in the office and we will amend our meal choice sheets to include your child/ren. They can have a mixture of packed lunch and school meals during the week, we just ask that the days are consistent for example Monday and Friday each week packed lunch the other days school meals. Feel free to chat to us in the office if you’d like to.
Flu Vaccine – the NHS team will be visiting school on Tuesday 14th November in the morning to vaccinate the children in years R, 1, 2, 3 and 4 against flu; only children whose parents returned the form will receive the vaccine.
Bag2School – a huge thank you to everyone who donated, we managed to raise just over £85.00. Thank you.
Light Party – on Tuesday 31st October, there will be a Light Party at Fraser Hall, Cowan Bridge from 4pm – 6pm. The party will be run by Lauren Platt, the new Church of England youth worker. Children and families are very welcome to come and have fun, do crafts and play games and lots more while learning about Jesus being the light.
