16th April 2021
We hope you all had a lovely, restful Easter break. We have enjoyed welcoming back all children to school and nursery, alongside two new faces, Theo and Eirlys, who have started in nursery this week.
Please can we politely remind parents to continue dropping off and collecting children at allocated times, and wear a face covering when on school grounds please.
We were all saddened to hear of the passing of His Royal Highness, The Duke of Edinburgh.
The Royal website has opened an online Book of Condolence https://www.royal.uk/?utm_source=12%20April%202021%20C19&utm_medium=Daily%20Email%20C19&utm_campaign=DfE%20C19 for anyone who would like to send a message.
Class Newsletters – separate infant and junior summer term newsletters are attached, giving you specific information on the focus of studies for this term.
Parent Help – we are seeking helpers for a list of outdoor jobs we have building up! We would usually have had a parent help morning, but due to current restrictions this is not possible, therefore we are looking for helpers who can pop in at weekends or evenings to help us tick a few of these jobs off. These include cleaning the yurt, weaving the willow and painting the playhouse, amongst others. Please let us know if you are able to offer any help. Thanking you in anticipation.
Day Visits – in line with the latest government roadmap, day visits are now permitted to go ahead and we are excited to have planned some for over the next few weeks. Full details and an information sheet will be sent out before for the visit, but for your diary, these include:
- 11th May – upper juniors climbing @ Hutton Roof
- 19th May – infants dairy workshop @ The Dales Museum
- 17th June – juniors @ Tower Wood
- 1st July – infants @ Borwick Hall
Lunch Menu – please find attached our new summer term menu, which we will be starting on Monday 26th April on week 2. If your child/ren are not currently having school meals but would like to, please let us know in the office and we will amend our meal choice sheets to include your child/ren. They can have a mixture of packed lunch and school meals during the week, we just ask that the days are consistent for example Monday and Friday each week packed lunch the other days school meals. Please come and see me in the office if you have any questions.
After School Club – following the latest government roadmap, after school club can now be open to all children without restrictions or limitations as to who can attend.
If you need any after school care, please contact Mrs Lawson directly on 07812 503 114 to book a place.
