What a busy week we’ve had to round of the half term! On Monday, all children joined in with own clothes day to raise money to twin a toilet. This was followed by film night to ensure we raised over £60.00 (the minimum amount required to twin). We raised £90.00 so now the children have collectively chosen to twin our toilet with one in Nigeria. Hopefully upon our return we will receive our certificate to show our achievement. Thank you to Mrs Mather for organising.
Also on Monday, the whole school took part in the RSPB Big Schools’ Birdwatch. We saw a small variety of birds on our grounds, predominately Rooks. Thank you to all those for bringing in binoculars. Children also produced some lovely bird artwork with Mrs Tidd.
On Tuesday morning, Mrs Mather and just 5 children braved the weather for Walk2School – children enjoyed breakfast together upon their arrival.
On Wednesday it was so lovely to see the Church filled with lots of families for the first Family Worship. Thank you to Rev Jane for leading, the children for reading bible verses and prayers and to the Church volunteers for the wonderful refreshments after.
Today we have celebrated Friendship Day. The school has been filled with so much love and we hope all the parents / carers / grandparents who were able to make the café have enjoyed it at much as the children. Thank you to the PTFA for funding the day 😊

Infant Show & Tell – the infant children have all very much enjoyed seeing what their friends bring to school for show and tell – we have had a wide range of items, including a motorbike helmet, a magic trick, a microphone and soft toys. The showing children have all talked very enthusiastically about their items and have eagerly shared them.
After half term we are looking forward to seeing what Freya F would like to bring to school to share with her friends.

Tower Wood – all junior children will be heading to Tower Wood on Wednesday 5th March – a consent letter, including photograph permissions and kit list is coming home with children. Please return this after half-term. Thank you.

The Big Sing Workshop – advance warning – we will be asking all junior parents to arrange to drop their children off at Hornby St Margaret’s on Thursday 6th March for 9am.  Collection at Leck as normal at 3.30pm.

Have a lovely half-term break and we will see you all upon our return on Monday 24th February.
