PTFA

What is a PTFA?

The PTFA stands for Parents, Teachers and Friends Association. It’s a group made up of parents, carers, school staff, and members of the wider community who work together to support the school and enhance the educational experience of all pupils.

What does the PTFA do?

The PTFA plays a vital role in school life by:

  • Organising events such as school fairs, discos, raffles, and seasonal celebrations that bring the school community together.
  • Raising funds to support school projects, buy resources, and enrich learning opportunities — from playground equipment to books and technology.
  • Building community by creating opportunities for families to connect, get involved, and feel part of the school.
  • Supporting school initiatives through volunteering, helping at events, and offering ideas and feedback.

Being part of the PTFA is a great way to make a positive impact, meet other families, and contribute to the success and happiness of the school community.
