What a wonderful last week we've had. We have had a busy end to the week and we are all looking forward to a well-earned break!During Tuesday afternoons assembly, children voted for what they would like the school’s charity to be for this year. This week has been very quiet in school. On Tuesday morning, a group of eight joined Mrs Mather for Walk2School and enjoyed pancakes for breakfast on arrival.It was lovely to welcome so many parents into school for Parent Meetings. Teachers really do value this time to catch up with parents, but please remember if at any other time you would like to speak to a teacher about your child you can arrange a mutually convenient appointment for after school.Seasonal Sickness… -

What a busy week, particularly for our infant class. On Tuesday, the youngest children in school headed out to Lancaster on the public bus from Kirkby Lonsdale – the children were an absolute joy, and members of the public commented on how well behaved they were. We’ve had another quiet week in school. On Wednesday, we held our annual Harvest Activity Day. Children were able to take part in various craft activities which also linked to our school values. It has been another relatively quiet week in school as we settle in to the new term and new routines. On Monday our infant children had their first forest school session of the academic year, and the sun was shining. The children made boats from conker shells, faces with natural items and leaf puppets. They are already looking forward to their next session. It has been a relatively quiet week in school this week. On Monday all children were invited to join in a celebration lunch for Roald Dahl day. Children enjoyed Mr Fox’s fish finger wrap or The Twit’s tomato pasta twists. We have had a great week in school, despite the autumnal weather! On Tuesday, just 2 children joined Mrs Mather for Walk2School – as numbers have dwindled so significantly, we will take a little pause with this for the time being. Welcome back! It has been lovely to see all our children return to school this week, they have all settled back in well and seem happy to be back surrounded by friends.
